The Garden of Words
Makoto Shinkai's featurette (2013): Takao, a student dreaming of making shoes, and Yukino, a mysterious woman, keep meeting on rainy mornings in a gazebo of Shinjuku Gyoen's Japanese garden. The rain animation over the park, traced from life, turned this corner of Tokyo into one of anime's most beautiful pilgrimages.
