Yuri!!! on Ice
MAPPA's figure-skating anime (2016): Yūri Katsuki, crushed after failing at the Grand Prix Final, returns to his hometown of Hasetsu in Kyūshū — until his idol, Russian champion Victor Nikiforov, shows up at the family onsen to become his coach. Hasetsu is a carbon copy of Karatsu (Saga), which proudly embraces the series.

The seaside castle over Karatsu Bay appears as 'Hasetsu Castle', with a fun fictional twist: in the show it sports a giant ninja because Victor believes Japan has ninjas everywhere.

Kagamiyama Onsen Chaya — Yu-topia Katsuki Modelthe Katsuki onsen

This onsen at the foot of Mt. Kagami is the recognised model for the Katsuki family bathhouse where Victor moves in. Fans come to bathe and try the katsudon the series made famous.

O-Vision Ice Arena Fukuoka (formerly Papio) — Ice Castle Hasetsuthe Ice Castle

The rink where Yūri trains as 'Ice Castle Hasetsu' is modelled on this real Hakata arena, cited by the production team and much visited by fans. It nearly closed in 2021 but was saved, and is still open today as O-Vision Ice Arena Fukuoka.
