Fujiko F. Fujio's manga (1969) and anime (1979–), an absolute icon of Japan: Doraemon, a robot cat from the future, looks after clumsy Nobita with the gadgets from his magic pocket. As its world is everyday and fictional, here we gather its real, visitable tributes: the author's museum and the monuments of his hometown.

The Kawasaki museum dedicated to Doraemon's creator, opened on 3 September 2011 (Doraemon's "birthday"). It has a theater, manga library, themed rooftop and life-size character statues.
