Hanasaku Iroha
P.A. Works' 2011 original series written by Mari Okada: Ohana Matsumae, a Tokyo teenager, is sent to work at her grandmother's hot-spring inn in a mountain spa town. The setting — the fictional Yunosagi onsen and the Kissuiso inn — is based on the real Yuwaku hot-spring resort in Kanazawa.

Yuwaku Onsen (Sōyu Shirasagi-no-Yu)the Yunosagi onsen
The small mountain spa town of Yuwaku, on the outskirts of Kanazawa, is the model for the Yunosagi onsen where the Kissuiso inn stands. The Shirasagi-no-Yu public bath is the heart of the town and the starting point of the pilgrimage.

Yuwaku Inari Shrine (Bonbori Festival)the Bonbori Festival
The fictional 'Bonbori' festival celebrated in the series became a real one: since 2011, every October P.A. Works and the town actually hold it at this shrine, a few minutes' walk from the bath. (Approximate coordinate by address.)

Nishigishi Station (Yunosagi model)the Yunosagi station
The unstaffed Noto Railway Nanao Line station facing Nanao Bay is the model for Yunosagi Station. A 'Yunosagi' nameplate was put up next to the real one for fans.
