Kyoto Animation's 2012 adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa's everyday-mystery novels: energy-saving student Hōtarō Oreki joins the Classics Club and solves small enigmas with the endlessly curious Eru Chitanda. The setting traces Takayama (Gifu), the author's home town, drawn almost street by street.
