K-On!

Yui, Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi and later Azusa form the light music club of Sakuragaoka High School: afternoons of tea, sweets and songs that became a cultural phenomenon and sent guitar sales soaring among Japanese teenagers. Its sacred site is unique: the school is modeled on the former Toyosato Elementary School (Shiga), an architectural gem from 1937 by William Merrell Vories that was slated for demolition until locals — and later fans — saved it. Today it welcomes tens of thousands of pilgrims a year and preserves the club's music room exactly as it appears in the series, instruments included.
