Laid-Back Camp

Rin prefers camping alone, reading by the fire; Nadeshiko discovers Mount Fuji from the shore of Lake Motosu and nothing is ever the same. Laid-Back Camp turned real campsites in Yamanashi, Shizuoka and Nagano into its stage with near-photographic fidelity, and sparked a nationwide solo-camping boom: the campsites featured in the series multiplied their visitors and the region embraced the phenomenon with official routes, signage and events. Probably the most successful example of rural anime tourism in existence — and a map of real places that are exactly as beautiful as on screen.
